Theology term : Human Nature

God created Adam and Eve in His image(Gen 1:27)and God saw them that he had made, and it was very good.(Gen 1:31)

God gave them breath.(Heb 12:23)

But they ate fruit in the middle of Eden which God didn’t permit to eat.

So, they committed to sin against God(Gen 3)they became sinners who cannot save themselves and please God.

They are totally depravity. But, God sent to his only one son, he died on cross instead of us.(John 3:16)

so, whoever believes in God They can recover image of God.

God regenerates people through Holy Spirit.(Roman 9:29, 2 Cor 5:18)

Therefore, we can recover image of God through Jesus Christ.

Reference
We believe that man was created in the image of God (Gen 1:27) but fell into sin and is therefore lost and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
Man is the special creation of God, made in His own image. He created them male and female as the crowning work of His creation. The gift of gender is thus part of the goodness of God's creation. In the beginning man was innocent of sin and was endowed by his Creator with freedom of choice. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Through the temptation of Satan man transgressed the command of God, and fell from his original innocence whereby his posterity inherit a nature and an environment inclined toward sin. Therefore, as soon as they are capable of moral action, they become transgressors and are under condemnation. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill the creative purpose of God. The sacredness of human personality is evident in that God created man in His own image, and in that Christ died for man; therefore, every person of every race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love.
Genesis 1:26-30; 2:5,7,18-22; 3; 9:6; Psalms 1; 8:3-6; 32:1-5; 51:5; Isaiah 6:5; Jeremiah 17:5; Matthew 16:26; Acts 17:26-31; Romans 1:19-32; 3:10-18,23; 5:6,12,19; 6:6; 7:14-25; 8:14-18,29; 1 Corinthians 1:21-31; 15:19,21-22; Ephesians 2:1-22; Colossians 1:21-22; 3:9-11.
After God had made all other creatures, He created man, male and female (Ge 1:27), with reasonable and immortal souls (Ge 2:7), endued with knowledge, righteousness, and true holiness, after His own image (Ge 1:26); having the law of God written in their hearts (Ro 2:14), and power to fulfil it (Ecc 7:29); and yet under a possibility of transgressing, being left to the liberty of their own will, which was subject unto change (Ge 3:6). Beside this law written in their hearts, they received a command, not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Ge 2:17); which while they kept, they were happy in their communion with God, and had dominion over the creatures (1:26).

Class noteGod alone is the Creator, and everything else is creature.
Man was given higher dignity than any other creatures
Man was given dominion all the rest of the earth
God made Adam by miraculous act from dirt, and the dirt did not come alive until God breathed in the breath to make him man.
God also made the woman by a miraculous act in Gen 2:21-22.
We are made to serve him, not the reverse. He is Lord and we are by nature his servants.
We reflect God in our knowledge, righteousness, and holiness. (Eph 4:24, Col 3:9-10)
Sinful human beings are still in the image of God. (Gen 9:6, Ja 3:9)
Sinful human beings have ‘marred and distorted’ the image (Calvin, Rm 9:29, Col 3:10)
Christ replaced Adam as the head of the human race (1Co 15:22, 49, Rm 5:12-21) → This is the metaphysical basis for our sanctification
Christ himself is the image of God in a preeminent way (Heb 1:3, 2Co 4:4, Col 1:15, 1Co 15:49) → Seeing Christ we know what God intended for Adam to be
Holy Spirit remakes us in the image of Christ (Col 3:10, Rm 8:29, 2Co 3:18)
We have the breath of life (soul/ spirit) God breathed into Adam → 1) Rather than as distinct elements of our nature, spirit and soul in Scripture are usually interchangeable (1Th 5:23, Heb 12:23, Ja 2:26, 1Pt 3:19, Rev 6:9-10, 20:4)/ 2) The word soul or spirit can refer to a person’s existence apart from the body (Mt 26:41, 27:50, Lk 24:39, Jn 19:30, 1Co 2:11, 7:34, 2Co 7:1)
